great sporting nation.As a sport the game of Aussie rules is
imo,the most athletic code of football in the world,tackled from all
directions,100 minutes of sprinting,and just look at the players,i have never
seen a fitter bunch of blokes take the field.

My love is league,despite the BS refs and decisions that plague the game.
The state of origin is honestly the most brutal test of strength and courage
on the planet,the grit,the heart the passion.to be a Queenslander is to
embrace the Maroons.The Americans can't believe the lack of padding,the
europeans cant believe the rules and the Aussie rule fans watch,maybe just to
laugh,but im sure everyone agrees,it is a brutal display of sporting power.

It now has a viewing audience bigger than any AFL grand final,in fact the only events
to top it are the World Cup and the Olympics.Just once in your life,you must come to
Qld at Origin time.Its hard to explain,just a feeling of pure passionate pride.

I read just recently that crime in Brisbane practically stopped the night of Origin.
Not one assault or robbery.Even the crims are passionate about the game.

.I grew up with both codes.
As a spectacle of sport Aussie Rules wins week after week but Origin is an 80 minute brawl
